KC Fringe Fest 2017
I am staring in two KC Fringe Fest plays this summer. Beginning From an End opened yesterday and overall opening night went well. This play is by a female playwright and deals with women's issues in three different time periods. I play Simone, who is a single mother in 2017 who has had some bad boyfriends, which is a women's issue in itself ;) and each woman finds out about an unexpected pregnancy. The other characters are Nancy, who is a teenager in 1970, and Lynn, who is a wife and mother of three in 1984. This show is considered R rated and is not appropriate for small children. Shows are at the Westport Coffeehouse Theatre 4010 Pennsylvania Ave, Kansas City, MO 64111.
Saturday, July 22nd @ 6pm Wednesday, July 26th @ 6pm Thursday, July 27th @ 7:30 Saturday, July 29th @ 9pm
The second show I am in is called Striking Beauty which is a family friendly comedy and is rated G. I play Betsy who is an artist and influencer in a world where art becomes outlawed. We were supposed to open last night, but a heavy thunderstorm blew out the power right before we were about to start. They were unable to fix the power so, the show was cancelled for the night, so there should be a makeup show on Sunday July 30th. Our next show will be Tuesday night at Phosphor's Studio 1730 Broadway BLVD, Kansas City, Missouri 64108.
